Sierra Whitney, Teacher

My name is Sierra Whitney, and I am so excited to begin this new chapter as a teacher! My journey into education has been shaped by my passion for helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

For the past several years, I have worked as a Behavioral Therapist, providing early intervention and behavioral therapy to children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. During that time, I worked closely with students one-on-one and in classroom settings, helping them develop communication, social, emotional, and daily living skills while building their confidence and independence. Those experiences taught me the importance of meeting every child where they are, celebrating each accomplishment, and understanding that every student learns in their own unique way.

My background has given me valuable experience in behavior management, individualized instruction, positive reinforcement, and creating supportive learning environments where children feel safe, encouraged, and successful. These skills have naturally led me to pursue my dream of becoming a classroom teacher, where I can make a lasting impact on even more students.

Outside of the classroom, I come from a big family, and growing up surrounded by siblings and loved ones helped shape the compassionate, patient, and caring person I am today. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, attending concerts, and making memories with the people I love.

As an educator, my goal is to create a classroom where every child feels welcomed, respected, and excited to learn. I believe in building strong relationships with students and families, fostering curiosity, encouraging kindness, and helping every child recognize their own potential. I look forward to partnering with families and making this a wonderful year full of growth, learning, and success!
